Meet the Pharmacists
John W. Pugh, PharmD, RPh
John W. Pugh has practiced pharmacy at Prosperity Drug since 2006. John is a member of the South Carolina Pharmacy Association and served as the President during the 2012-2013 year. He currently serves as Vice-President of the Board at Newberry County Memorial Hospital. John graduated from Mid-Carolina High School in 1998, earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Clemson University in 2002, and completed his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy in 2005. He has received the Distinguished Young Pharmacist award (2008), the Four Under Forty Award (2019), and the Bowl of Hygeia Award (2022). John and his wife Kendra have three children, Caroline, John Samuel, and Thomas.
Carmen Monts, PharmD, RPh
Carmen Monts has practiced at Prosperity Drug since 2007. In addition to her duties dispensing prescriptions, Carmen administers vaccinations and oversees the medication synchronization program. She graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy in 2006. Carmen is a 2018 recipient of the South Carolina Pharmacist Association's Innovation in Pharmacy Award. Carmen and her husband, Clay, have daughter Ellie, son Dylan, and Goldendoodle Weezy. When not at work, she likes to walk her dog and spend time with her family.

Megan Montgomery, PharmD, RPh
Megan Montgomery joined the Prosperity Drug team in 2012. Megan graduated from Chapin High School in 2002 and the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy in 2009. After finishing pharmacy school, she moved to Andrews, SC to work for Reynold's Drug Store, a family owned, independent drugstore for 3 years. Megan is a former president of the South Carolina Pharmacy Association and currently a member of the Newberry County Memorial Hospital Foundation Board. Outside of her professional activities, Megan is a Certified Yoga Teacher and wants to visit all of the US National Parks. She enjoys spending time with nature, hanging out with her nephews, and traveling with her other half, Mario.

Dana M. Crawford, PharmD, RPh
Dana Crawford joined the Prosperity Drug team in 2016 as a pharmacy intern while studying at the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy. After graduating pharmacy school in 2020, Dana completed a PGY-1 Community Residency at Medicine Mart of West Columbia. Upon fulfilling her residency, Dana began practicing full time at Prosperity Drug in 2021, where she now enjoys administering vaccines and precepting pharmacy students. Dana and her husband, Henning, live in Little Mountain and enjoy spending time with family and friends, camping, and traveling!

Leanne Kyzer, PharmD, RPh
Leanne Kyzer began practicing at Prosperity Drug in 2015. Leanne graduated from the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy in 2005 and has experience in independent, chain, and ambulatory care pharmacies. She is very passionate about immunizations and cardiology. Leanne grew up in Lexington, SC and is married to her high school sweetheart Jace, who is also a pharmacist. In 2010, Leanne and her family moved to Gilbert where they now enjoy the friendly, small town feeling. Leanne has two children, Charlotte and Tucker, a golden retriever, two cats, and a king snake. During her down time, she enjoys singing karaoke with her daughter, working on her house, and acting as an unpaid Uber driver for her kids.
